Monthly Breakfasts & Potlucks

There's a lotta eating happening on The Mendocino Coast! There's nothing so good as a hot savory breakfast at The Greenwood Pier Cafe (see our sample menu). But if you find yourself outside of Elk when the hunger hits, check out these delicious monthly dining events -- while supporting our local organizations:

1st Sunday, Fort Bragg Grange Breakfast, Inglenook, six miles north of Fort Bragg on Hwy. 1, 8-noon.
2nd Sunday, Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast, 8-noon, St. Anthony's Parish Hall, Lansing Street, Mendocino.
2nd Sunday, Mendocino Village Council monthly potluck, 1 p.m., Mendocino Presbyterian Church.
3rd Sunday, VFW Breakfast, 8-11:30 a.m., Veterans Hall, Bainbridge Park, Laurel & Harrison, Fort Bragg.
4th Sunday, Caspar Community Center breakfast and book sale, 9-noon, 15051 Caspar Rd., Caspar.
4th Sunday, Whitesboro Grange breakfast, 32510 Navarro Ridge Road, Albion, 8-11:30 a.m.
5th Sunday, Knights of Columbus, all-you-can-eat Mexican breakfast, 8-noon, St. Anthony's Parish Hall, Lansing Street, Mendocino.
2nd Friday, Whitesboro Grange, potluck social, 6 p.m. Navarro Ridge Road. Take a friend, food, dinnerware.
2nd Wednesday, Fort Bragg Lodge #360 potluck dinner and open mic, Masonic Temple, 428 N. Main St., Fort Bragg. Doors open 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m.

Dine Out benefits Rainbow School

On Thursday evening December 20, the Little River Inn will be sponsoring a Dine Out event to benefit the Rainbow School in Mendocino. Starting at 5:30pm, all orders from the bar and dining room will benefit the school. For further info call 937-4913.

"The Nutcracker" at Cotton Auditorium

The Mendocino Ballet is again preparing one of the holiday season's favorite family traditions, "The Nutcracker." Performances at Cotton Auditorium, Fort Bragg, are Saturday December 15 at 7pm and Sunday December 16 at 2pm. For more info, call the Ballet at 463-2290. Santa Comes to Kelley House

The comminuty is invited to the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at The Kelley house Museum December 7 from 6 to 8pm. There will be singing, refreshments, and a visit by Santa is expected. Kelley House Museum is located at 45007 Albion St. in Mendocino. For more info call 707-937-5791.
