November 28, 2007 Holiday Crafts Fair Charles Acker of The Mendocino Beacon Elk's Annual Holiday Crafts Fair is coming up this Saturday, December 1 at the Greenwood Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Get your holiday shopping done early and locally. You'll find a wide array of baked goods, crafts and artwork created by local artists and there will be food served including scones and coffee in the morning and lentil soup with bread for lunch. The Greenwood Community Church Parsonage Renovation Benefit Raffle drawing will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the event. Raffle tickets are available at the event and locally. The Greenwood Community Church sponsors this event. Call for more information at 877-3224. November 14, 2007 Country Christmas Bazaar Carrie Lanyon, Staff The Mendocino Study Club will hold its 30th annual Country Christmas Bazaar this year on Saturday, November 17 from 10am to 3pm at the Presbyterian Church's Preston Hall on Main St. in Mendocino. Doors will open for persons with limited mobility early at 9:30am. Handmade items will include quilts, pillows, fine clothing, children's toys, kitchen items, special coast creations, holiday decorations and ornaments and a variety of home baked cookies, pies, breads, candy, in addition to homemade jams, jellies, relishes and other pantry items. Proceeds will provide scholarships for Mendocino High School seniors and re-entry school adults. November 7, 2007 American Legion Bazaar Carrie Lanyon, Staff The American Legion Auxillary Sequoia Unit presents its annual Armistice Bazaar Saturday, November 10 from 10am to 2pm. Come to the Veterans Building at the corner of Laurel and Harrison, Fort Bragg. Stay for lunch by Jewell to be served at noon. Entree is chicken caccitore with polenta plus salad, bread, dessert and beverage. There will be prize drawings and door prizes, food table and sales tables stocked with lovely items.
