MTC's "Marigolds" play opens April 12!
Carrie Lanyon, Staff

The Mendocino Theatre Company presents Paul Zindel's Pulitzer Prize and Obie Award winning drama, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man- in-the-Moon Marigolds, opening April 12 and running for five weeks through May 13. Directed by Bob Cohen (thirty year veteran actor & director with MTC), this critically acclaimed play is loosely based on the author's experience growing up in a single parent household. Bob, who has directed plays by Arthur Miller, William Inge, A.R. Gurney and other great playwrights, believes that the writing quality of Marigolds is among the best he has ever been privileged to work with. "There are scenes that will tear your heart out, they are so beautiful." The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds is proof that beauty can be found even in the most troubled of families.
