Mendocino Coast Writers Conference Fundraiser
Carrie Lanyon, Staff

Through the generosity of the Mendocino Theater Company, the entire house has been purchased for the March 1st performance of Enchanted April. Tickets for this fundraiser are $40 each. If you are a season ticket holder, paying the difference will hold a seat for this performance. The MCWC committee will be providing yummy hors d'oeurves and wine, and will feature a special conversation with the director. The College of the Redwoods sponsored Mendocino Coast Writers conference is a 501(c)(3) so a portion of your ticket is tax deductible. Seating is limited to 88 people, so please contact Ginny Rorby grorby@mcn.org ASAP if you plan to attend. Monies raised by MCWC fund scholarships for deserving local high school students to attend the conference for free. For more information about the August Conference visit www.mcwc.org

Imrpov Comedy
Doug Nunn, Local Actor/Comedian

Greetings from Doug Nunn, Mendo High Improv coach! I just wanted you all to know that on Wednesday and Thursday, February 14 & 15, the Mendo High Improv Comedy Club will present "Every Hour is Happy Hour"--two nights of improvisational comedy at the MPAC from 7-9 pm. This year's cast is small but spunky(14 players) and they are certainly ready to entertain teachers, family and fellow students. I know you are all busy in the lead up to "President's Week", but if you have time, please drop in and see a show. This year's cast includes Zac Burtis, Michaela Ellis, Danny Maloney, Katie Wright, Sage Cinnamon, Rachel Cox, Emily Gansz, James Humecky, Lilly Deerwater, Connor Barnard, Skyler Thomas, Kellie Adams, Habibie Grimes and Tag Schieve-Joy. San Francisco keyboard player Laura Derry will join us on improv piano and Scott Southard and his audio crew will do tech. We are all very thankful for our MUSE grant!
